Dr Wendy Hirsh
Dr Hirsh works independently as a researcher and consultant in the fields of strategic human resource planning, succession and talent management and leadership development. Wendy has a long-standing interest in how organisations address their changing needs for people, including managers and leaders, and then how those changing requirements and opportunities are communicated to employees.
Her current work includes implementing succession and talent management in a range of public and private sector organisations and an international development NGO. In 2012 Wendy conducted in-depth research on succession planning for the Corporate Research Forum. She is author of many reports and articles, including (with Charles Jackson) Planning your Career (published by Hodder)..
Wendy is a Principal Associate at the Institute for Employment Studies (where she was formerly an Associate Director), a Visiting Professor at Kingston University, an Associate of Roffey Park Institute and a Fellow of the National Institute for Career Education and Guidance. In 2012 she was voted 13th in HR Magazine’s Most Influential UK Thinkers in the HR field.
